Drake

Drake sleeps through the night in his kennel, but will bark when kenneled during the day or in the car. He really doesn't see the point when the rest of the house is awake, he wants to be a part of the action.
He plays well with other dogs and takes directions from them nicely. He is really interested in the cats, he wants to wrestle and sniff them all over. But again, takes their cues to back off pretty well for a puppy.

Favorite toy is the flirt pole, He loves a good chase! Fetch is a close second, but bringing the toy back isn't as fun as keep-away.
Drake is very food motivated, so using his meals to reinforce good behavior on walks, and in the home makes training a breeze! He still has to be tethered for place/stay, he wants to run up and jump on any person or dog who enters the house, he will happily greet anyone.
Drake knows Come, Sit, Load up (to kennel and car) and Out (back off) he lives with other dogs, a toddler, and cats in his foster home.
Drake's best family will have kids older than 6 if any. He loves the children, but still jumps when he gets very excited and will knock them over. Drake would do best with a family that wants a dog as a playmate to interact with.
He would love to be part of the action as much as possible.

Josh

Josh is already 40 lbs, so we believe he could possibly get big but with mix breeds we really never know. Our guess on breed is a bit of everything… German Shepherd, lab, border collie ... we don't know.

Josh is young, happy and hyper, he will jump when he gets excited (something we are working on with him). He is full of excited happy energy with a desire to play and wants to be with his people.
He needs a dedicated family to help him continue to work his body and his brain to bring out the best in him.
Josh's perfect family will continue to take him out to places like pet stores and parks where he can meet strangers safely. He's doing amazing on leash walks and in the car. This guy wants to go where you go.

He knows sit, kennel up, load up and come. Working on "off" ( he's a big jumper), Place (stay on dog bed). He also is working on "no" so he knows when to stop what hes doing. He's easy to redirect on the leash and rarely pulls. Josh is very food motivated which makes training fun!
Josh is doing well with the cats in his foster home and is learning to respect there space and gets better all the time.

He's still young so he will get into things if left to his own devices, however he is getting better at sticking to his own toys to entertain himself.

Carlie

Carlie is a happy, super smart young lab. She has shown us she shouldn’t live with other animals and would thrive with an active owner- Hiking? Running? She’s going to be the best adventure buddy!
Carlie knows sit, come, “kennel”, shake, roll over, & sit pretty.
She’s still learning fetch. She loves the water and splashes and runs and attempts to swim any chance she gets.
Carlie is very food motivated, using her meals to reinforce good behavior and training has been fun and she learns everything very quickly. She rides fine in the car, she wines a little, chews on a bully stick, smells outside or sleeps.
Carlie wants to get into the trash and counter surf so a family that puts all food away is a must.

Adoption Info

Adoption Info

  • Puplandia only adopts within the Portland metro area (within 1 hour of Beaverton, OR).

  • The first thing you will want to do is check out our pups that are ready for adoption.  Once you come across a fur baby that looks like it might be a good fit, please e-mail puplandiadogrescue@gmail.com to get an application, with the name of the pup in your subject line.

  • Please know that applications are reviewed with a best fit mentality and are not first come first serve.

  • As we are completely foster based, meet and greets are done by appointment only on approved applications.  We do not have a facility that you can go to and meet all available dogs, but we do have monthly adoption events that we promote on our Facebook page and Instagram.

  • We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption or in a specific time frame for puppies.  We do not allow ear cropping or tail docking and a home visit is required before any adoption can take place.

  • The cost to adopt a dog is as follows:

-Puppy (Under 1 year old) $450 Fee (Plus a $200 Spay/Neuter Deposit for puppies under 4 months of age.

-Adult dogs  (1 + Years old) $350 Fee

  • The adoption fee ensures that the dog is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. In many cases, the adoption fees do not cover all the costs Puplandia has incurred to get the dog healthy and ready for adoption.  All additional medical costs to ensure a healthy pup are covered entirely through donations.
