Calvin

Calvin is such a puppy, after playing hard with his toys he sleeps hard. Soon this will change and he will play hard, run, do tricks and still be ready to play and work some more. He loves exploring the world around him and putting everything in his mouth. Calvin is an adorable, playful, smart and energetic 9-week-old puppy. He is very curious and will need a family that is up for adventure and lots of training. Calvin gets along well with other dogs, big and small. Calvin is super smart and eager to please especially when treats are involved. The right family will look forward to training and not see this as a task. Calvin is doing wonderful on kennel training and still working on only peeing outside. As with any puppy, Calvin requires frequent potty breaks during the day. Once taken outside, he immediately relieves himself! Calvin needs a patient & loving family that will have time to both play and work with him so that he can thrive.

Buddy

Buddy has so much personality… a lot of great, so much silly and some things he needs to work on.
The Great :
Buddy is cuddly and loyal and would do good with someone who wants affection – he gives the best hugs.
The Silly :
Buddy will bring all the toys out, every time, just to look at his collection.

Buddy loves to play and can be rough with his toys, so his ideal home has plenty to offer and doesn’t mind cleaning up the occasional destroyed fluffy.
Buddy has no concept of his size, and will climb in your lap for cuddles.

Working on:
Buddy is a charming pup with a loud and proud voice. He knows sit, place, come, shake, he is fully kennel trained and potty trained. He’s quick to correct when barking at others on his walk and with a knock at the door. This makes him look scary because he's a large black dog but he can be redirected and should go to a home that will continue practicing good manners with him.

Buddy would love a house with a yard, and won’t be approved for apartment living. He has lots of energy and requires some room to expel it. Buddy would thrive with someone who will continue to work with him on his loud bark when he gets excited. His perfect home will be excited about how smart he is and want to continue his training to make him be best dog he can be.
Buddy must eat in his kennel, he has minor food possessive behavior with other animals. He is a very confident male, therefore it doesn't back down if another male shows dominance or pushy behaviors, this can lead to scuffles, he’d do best as the only dog or adopted with a female. He is so sweet and gentle with the infant in his foster home, he's great with kids, loves all humans, loves to sit on the couch and cuddle up to anyone who will scratch his belly and his ears.

Adoption Info

  • Puplandia only adopts within the Portland metro area (within 1 hour of Beaverton, OR).

  • The first thing you will want to do is check out our pups that are ready for adoption.  Once you come across a fur baby that looks like it might be a good fit, please e-mail puplandiadogrescue@gmail.com to get an application, with the name of the pup in your subject line.

  • Please know that applications are reviewed with a best fit mentality and are not first come first serve.

  • As we are completely foster based, meet and greets are done by appointment only on approved applications.  We do not have a facility that you can go to and meet all available dogs, but we do have monthly adoption events that we promote on our Facebook page and Instagram.

  • We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption or in a specific time frame for puppies.  We do not allow ear cropping or tail docking and a home visit is required before any adoption can take place.

  • The cost to adopt a dog is as follows:

-Puppy (Under 1 year old) $450 Fee (Plus a $200 Spay/Neuter Deposit for puppies under 4 months of age.

-Adult dogs  (1 + Years old) $350 Fee

  • The adoption fee ensures that the dog is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. In many cases, the adoption fees do not cover all the costs Puplandia has incurred to get the dog healthy and ready for adoption.  All additional medical costs to ensure a healthy pup are covered entirely through donations.
