Ashley

Ashley is an absolute goofball, just a total ham, a playful class clown. all limbs and ears!
Do NOT Let those puppy dog eyes fool you!
Ashley is not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
This pup shows her breed mix very accurately.
From the Doberman, she gets mouthy biting play, Velcro tendencies (she wants to be right next to her people) and intelligence that will get her into trouble if not directed.
From the Hound, she gets her loud voice, her stubborn persistence, and her high prey drive.
Ashley is highly food motivated, this will make training easier. Which is good news for whoever adopts this beautiful girl, because she will need life long training. Both hounds and Dobermans are known to be hard headed dogs, and Ashley is already proving that true.
When given the simplest of obedience commands Ashley will pause and look at you as if to say "what's in it for me?"
Ashley sleeps in the kennel, and knows come, sit, down, and load up (for the kennel)
She's learning to walk on the leash, this is something that is difficult for her, and she is easily distracted by smells, but redirects with food lures.
She is almost house trained, with the extremely odd accident here and there.
She plays with many large dogs and enjoys herself very much. She seems to be too rambunctious for small dogs, and small people, as well as other small animals, we suggest Ashley should NOT live with cats, as she will stress them out with her relentless pursuits.
Ashley would be a fun sport prospect for barn hunt, or agility. She would also enjoy hiking or biking multiple times a week.
Finding a home that wants to work her brain, exercise her body, and really enjoys one or both of these breeds is going to be essential for Ashley to thrive.

Jenny

Jenny was born with deformed front legs causing her to walk and run in a bow position. Jenny does get tired faster then a typical puppy but still has a lot of energy to play with other dogs, go up and down stairs, play fetch and follow you around your house or property.
Jenny LOVES all people, all dogs and cats. She’s up for wrestling or cuddling.
Jenny does use front wheels ( Wheel Chair) to help her muscles, joints and bones ( if you have not used a wheel chair before we will teach you everything about it)
The wheels are important because getting to walk like a normal dog will relieve pain and stress on different parts of her body. Jenny needs a family willing to take her to dog massage (we know this is a big ask but her little body needs the extra support to keep her healthy and happy).
Jenny needs a home with carpet or runners, she is able to use her wheels and it’s easier on her front elbows.
Jenny is kennel trained and doing amazing in her wheels – soon she will start learning how to walk on a leash while in her wheels.
If you’re looking for a cuddle bug, with a spunky sweet attitude with some special needs JENNY IS YOUR GIRL.

Adoption Info

Adoption Info

  • Puplandia only adopts within the Portland metro area (within 1 hour of Beaverton, OR).

  • The first thing you will want to do is check out our pups that are ready for adoption.  Once you come across a fur baby that looks like it might be a good fit, please e-mail puplandiadogrescue@gmail.com to get an application, with the name of the pup in your subject line.

  • Please know that applications are reviewed with a best fit mentality and are not first come first serve.

  • As we are completely foster based, meet and greets are done by appointment only on approved applications.  We do not have a facility that you can go to and meet all available dogs, but we do have monthly adoption events that we promote on our Facebook page and Instagram.

  • We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption or in a specific time frame for puppies.  We do not allow ear cropping or tail docking and a home visit is required before any adoption can take place.

  • The cost to adopt a dog is as follows:

-Puppy (Under 1 year old) $450 Fee (Plus a $200 Spay/Neuter Deposit for puppies under 4 months of age.

-Adult dogs  (1 + Years old) $350 Fee

  • The adoption fee ensures that the dog is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. In many cases, the adoption fees do not cover all the costs Puplandia has incurred to get the dog healthy and ready for adoption.  All additional medical costs to ensure a healthy pup are covered entirely through donations.
